Rave Reviews

Billy Dodson - Chief of Staff - U.S. Navy
The coaching session with Ms. Elkind was one of the most powerful experiences of my professional life. Through her guidance, I improved my understanding of workplace relationships and the impact of my actions on the performance and feelings of others. On a more personal level, I learned much about my own values and self-motivation. There's no doubt that I'm a more effective leader and manager as a result of her efforts.

Bernard Coulie - Vice-chancellor, University of Louvain, Louvain-la-Neuve, Belgium
If you don't know Rachel, you are missing something. You are missing really knowing yourself: her questions are penetrating and she is the kind of person who tells you a lot about who you really are, perhaps different than who you think you are. And she does it with a mix of strength and kindness.

Mike Brennemann - Product Manager - Caterpillar, Inc.
I was challenged to approach a situation the way I normally do and then coached to approach it from a more interpersonal and feelings-oriented perspective. Rachel was particularly good at coaching me through a more successful delivery style. I can now see the potential for improvement.

Bill Yoakum - Senior Procurement Manager - Boeing Commercial Airplanes
I often reflect on my coaching conversations with Rachel. Her wisdom, insight, and perspective is always valuable and appreciated.

Elizabeth O'Neill Williamson, Director - Council on International Educational Exchange
The practical application approach was very valuable and Rachel did a great job of really asking "pressing" questions to uncover the real issues.

Columbia Business School Senior Executive Program participant
Rachel's intuitive, insightful coaching was incredibly useful--I learned things about myself and my relationships with others that I didn't even conceive before working with her. More important than the energizing "aha" moments while working together, the concepts and insights she shared have become key colors on my leadership palette.

Kelly Shields - Fashion Designer - Freelance
The process of Rachel eliciting my values clarified for me the difference between working because I feel I have to and working in an environment that really suits me, my talents and my desire for happiness. I will use the values list to check myself and my employment periodically, to make sure I commit myself to situations that honor my values. Rachel has a gift of being able to get inside another person's experience. Consequently, she can really guide her clients with her intelligence, practical experience and natural enthusiasm.

Although I felt skeptical about the survey at the beginning, later on I saw how an accurate and sensitive interpretation allowed me to understand the real meaning of the profile and the positive impact it had in understanding parts of myself that I was taking for granted or not fully paying attention to. I gained a deeper understanding of myself thanks to the work I did with Rachel.
