Discover your values in an interview with Manny
The Purpose of your interview is to discover your five most important values in the context of work.
The interview is fully engaging, fun and insightful. It will take about two hours and the time will go fast. It can be scheduled for two one-hour sessions, however most people prefer to do it in one session.
Information you consider private will not be discussed during the interview. The interview is quite unusual in the way it provides ways for you to share the necessary values information without violating privacy. There will probably be a few times when you'll want to discuss a few things that have important implications for your values. Those will be voluntary exceptions.
The interview process
You will be asked to think of a past important accomplishment. It's not necessary to describe the content of the accomplishment.
You'll be asked, "What's important about that accomplishment for you, personally?" Let's imagine that your response is, "I met the challenge." Challenge is a value.
You'll be asked a variety of similar questions and your responses will include a variety of values.
This will continue until 15 to 30 values are collected from three different kinds of accomplishments.
You'll write each of the values on a 1"x3" piece of paper. All the values will be spread out in front of you.
Manny will then take you through a thought-provoking and fun process to discover your five most important values in their order of importance.
The interview can be done in person or by telephone.
